Understanding rubber particles
With time and experience, Concept-air has developed a real understanding of rubber particles so we are able to offer solutions tailored to the specific needs of the rubber industry. Our in-depth knowledge of these particles and their treatment is a real advantage to our customers.
Our dust collectors and other systems allow companies to increase the profitability of their manufacturing processes and equipment and fully utilize their raw material while complying with current standards.
Case study in the rubber sector
Recovering the rubber right down to its smallest particles
A manufacturer of rubber-based sports carpets wanted to procure a dust collector to limit the release of rubber particles in order to meet the safety standards established by the CNESST and to comply with the standards of the Ministry of the Environment.
Installing a high-performance dust collector capable of minimizing the release of rubber particles into the air.
Designing a system that maximizes the use of the raw material down to its smallest particles.
Properly directing recovered particles for returning them to the manufacturing process.
The Concept-air team went on site to analyze the company’s processes. Initially, the application seemed relatively simple to us but we soon noticed a significant loss of rubber. In order to maximize the use of the rubber, we proposed that the company install a central dust collector to collect particles and two cyclones to treat particles of specific colors.
The rejected particles are recovered in hoppers and returned to the beginning of the carpet manufacturing process. Given the fact that several carpet colors are processed, Concept-air, with the help of its subsidiary Nova-tech, has put in place a separating system that redirects the collected particles to the appropriate production line.
The raw material is completely used and valorized;
Decrease in raw material costs;
Pollution and the emission of contaminants are minimized;
The company benefits from reliable equipment whose performance exceeds initial objectives.
